Snakebite outcomes are shaped not only by clinical response, but also by the social, cultural, and economic realities of affected communities. This webinar focuses on the lived experiences of rural, agrarian, and underserved communities where snakebite risk is often highest and timely access to care is most difficult. Participants will explore how cost, distance, fear, misinformation, trust in health systems, traditional care pathways, and household decision-making can influence whether and when a person seeks medical treatment. The webinar will help participants better understand the people and communities affected by snakebite, and why solutions must be grounded in local realities, community trust, and accessible pathways to care.
