I lead the Skin Wound Research group at the Centre for Inflammation Research at the University of Edinburgh. We work on tropical and non-tropical wounds, including snake-bite acute and chronic wounds, conflict wounds, venous leg ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers.

I am a Public Health Lecturer, Researcher, and Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Focal Point Person at Lusaka Apex Medical University. I support Zambia’s Ministry of Health on NTD programming and serve on national technical working groups. My work focuses on snakebite envenoming and health systems strengthening. I facilitated the ANYSNAKES clinical trial feasibility study in Zambia with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, generating evidence to support future snakebite research.

My name is Solomon Musiitwa, a researcher and Team leader for The Uganda National Medical Alliance for Prisoners Support, a leading accredited non-profit in Uganda empowering inmates, ex-offenders, and their families. I am a professor and researcher in the Department of Human Microbiology at the University of Panama School of Medicine, specializing in venomous snakes and their associated microbiota. My work integrates field research and molecular microbiology to characterize venom composition and the microbial communities linked to snake envenomation. I investigate pathogen carriage, antimicrobial resistance, and the clinical implications of snake-associated microbiomes.

I am a Cardiologist by training with more than 25 years of experience. I primary areas of research include epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases, population health and venomous snakebite. I was the national PI for a nationwide study looking at the incidence, mortality, morbidity and socioeconomic burden of snakebite in India. I lead the ICMR Centre of Excellence in snakebite at Amrita Institute, Kochi. I also serve on the boards of the ICMR, DST, DBT and WHO as an expert on the panel for venom

EAF is a community-based snake and snakebite organisation with extensive experience in developing and implementing community-lead and community informed snakebite solutions to save lives and limbs. We reached zero-deaths from snakebite in 2023 and we have yet again reached that stage in the last 20 months.

I am a registered pharmacist and a senior lecturer working in IIUM Malaysia and have some works on characterization of snake venom and antivenom using pharmcological and proteomic techniques. My research focus mainly on Southeast Asian venomous snakes, particularly elapids and antivenoms used in the region.
