A visionary leader, Dr. Jokwiro has pioneered innovative approaches to expanding healthcare access.

I am a pharmacist with 10 years of experience at the Information and Toxicological Assistance Center (CIATox) in João Pessoa, Northeast Brazil. My work focuses on providing remote clinical guidance via telephone to healthcare professionals and the general public regarding toxic exposures, with a special emphasis on venomous animal accidents and snakebites. Additionally, my team and I provide in-person clinical follow-up for patients admitted to the local University Hospital.
