Koustubh T is a third-year ECE student at Anantha Lakshmi Institute of Technology & Sciences (Autonomous), Andhra Pradesh, India. He leads a student team developing the Smart Snakebite Compression Band, an early-stage sensor-controlled inflatable insert designed to explore monitored external support and limb immobilisation. The proof-of-concept integrates pressure sensing, a compact pump, automatic cutoff and warning alerts. It is intended only for dummy-limb testing at this stage.

I am an immunologist and a faculty member at Bayero University Kano, Nigeria, investigating adverse reactions to snake antivenom. My research integrates clinical studies with immunological and molecular approaches to understand the mechanisms underlying early adverse reactions to snake antivenom. Our research group is interested in translating mechanistic insights into strategies for improving the safety of antivenom therapy.
