Dr. Naoual Oukkache is Head of the Venoms and Toxins Laboratory at the Pasteur Institute of Morocco, with over 20 years of expertise in toxinology. Her research integrates venom biochemistry, proteomics, immunology, bioinformatics, and artificial intelligence to discover bioactive molecules and develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic solutions. She leads multidisciplinary collaborations to advance snakebite and envenoming research.

We have pioneered a community-driven model integrating rapid response, timely hospital care, evidence-based treatment, healthcare-worker training&public awareness.We achieved zero snakebite deaths out of 3900 for consecutive 5 years and has been recognized as a prototype.We are empowering communities,strengthening rural healthcare systems, challenging harmful myths.Our model demonstrate that timely skilled care can turn snakebite from a neglected rural tragedy into a preventable emergency.

Rathinamala, PhD. and Dr. T. Chitra, Ph.D.

Dr Obasanjo Bolarinwa is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health at York St John University, UK, and an implementation scientist specialising in health equity, digital health and health systems strengthening in Africa. His research focuses on translating evidence into scalable solutions that improve access to quality healthcare for underserved populations. He has led and collaborated on multidisciplinary projects across maternal health, infectious diseases, disability, and community health.
