I am a veterinarian, clinician, and researcher dedicated to developing innovative point-of-care diagnostics for effective snakebite management. My research focuses on aptamer engineering, biosensor development, and translational biotechnology to enable rapid, species-specific venom detection. We have established a robust pipeline for the selection and characterization of venom-specific aptamers and their integration into portable diagnostic platforms.

Yayasan Pesona Bumi Pasundan (YPBP) is an Indonesian community-based nonprofit advancing health equity through community engagement, research, and cross-sector collaboration. We are developing partnerships with four district and city health offices across Bogor and Sukabumi and engaging approximately 201 primary health centers (Puskesmas) to strengthen community health education and generate evidence for public health decision-making. YPBP has established partnerships with four District and City Health Offices across Bogor and Sukabumi and works closely with approximately 201 primary healthcare centres (Puskesmas). As the first point of contact for most snakebite victims in Indonesia, these facilities play a critical role in timely recognition, referral, treatment, and data collection. Through this network, YPBP can collaborate with health offices and primary healthcare centres to co-design community-based snakebite research, improve community awareness and health-seeking behaviour, strengthen surveillance and case documentation, and generate evidence that informs local and national health policies. Our approach also enables the evaluation of interventions under real-world conditions, ensuring that innovations can be effectively implemented and scaled through the primary healthcare system.

Dr. L. Kole, a distinguished biochemist whose groundbreaking research revolutionized understanding of Russell's viper venom pathophysiology. His work on isolation and characterisation of VRH-1, a 22 kDa hemorrhagic toxin responsible for organ-specific pulmonary hemorrhage identified non-proteolytic toxins with selective tissue toxicity, challenging conventional toxicology paradigms. Using Dye-Diffusion assay models invitro helped to develop clinical protocols for Russell's viper bite management.
