The hackathon is designed as a focused, high-energy sprint where pre-formed interdisciplinary teams develop solutions that address the Snakebite Envenoming Prize challenge. Across two structured days, teams will move from ideation to refinement, guided by business mentors and anchored in clearly defined problem statements.

The first day focuses on problem framing, ideation, and early concept development. Participants will be guided through structured exercises to clarify who they are designing for, what specific barrier they aim to address, and how their proposed solution may improve timely, accessible, safe, and appropriate care for people affected by snakebite. The goal is not to create a final or fully validated solution, but to help participants develop an initial concept that is relevant, feasible, and aligned with the Prize.

The second day is designed to help participants move from an initial idea to a clearer and more structured concept that can be further developed for the Prize. Participants will receive targeted feedback from mentors and experts, identify areas that need further strengthening, and prepare a concise concept summary. The session emphasises practical implementation, end-user relevance, safety, feasibility, and alignment with the Prize criteria.
